Isaac said,"Beholdnow,I amold[and] I do not knowthe dayof my death.

When the timefor Israelto diedrewnear,he calledhis sonJosephand saidto him, "Please,ifI have foundfavorin your sight,placenowyour handundermy thighand dealwith me in kindnessand faithfulness.Pleasedo not buryme in Egypt,
Then Israelsaidto Joseph,"Behold,I am about to die,but Godwill be with you, and bringyou backto the landof your fathers.
Do not boastabout tomorrow,For you do not knowwhata daymay bringforth.
Whateveryour handfindsto do,do[it] with [all] your might;for thereis noactivityor planningor knowledgeor wisdomin Sheolwhereyou are going.
In thosedaysHezekiahbecamemortallyill.And Isaiahthe prophetthe sonof Amozcameto him and saidto him, "Thussaysthe LORD,Setyour housein order,for you shall dieand not live.'"
and said,"Remembernow,OLORD,I beseechYou, howI have walkedbeforeYou in truthand with a wholeheart,and have donewhatis goodin Your sight."And Hezekiahweptbitterly.
"Therefore,be on the alert--for you do not knowwhenthe masterof the houseis coming,whetherin the evening,at midnight,orwhenthe rooster crows,orin the morning--
Yetyou do not knowwhatyour lifewill be like tomorrow.You are [just] a vaporthat appearsfor a little whileand thenvanishes away.
Yet Davidvowedagain,saying,"Your fatherknowswellthat I have foundfavorin your sight,and he has said,'Do not let Jonathanknowthis,orhe will be grieved.'But trulyas the LORDlivesand as your soullives,there is hardly a stepbetweenme and death."
