Now Abimelechhad not comenearher; and he said,"Lord,will You slaya nation,even[though] blameless?
Then the LORDrainedon Sodomand Gomorrahbrimstoneand firefrom the LORDout of heaven,
"Did he not himselfsayto me, 'She is my sister?And she herselfsaid,'He is my brother.'In the integrityof my heartand the innocenceof my handsI have donethis."
Then Godsaidto him in the dream,"Yes,I knowthat in the integrityof your heartyou have donethis,and I alsokeptyou from sinningagainst Me; thereforeI did not letyou touchher.
"Howmuchmore,whenwickedmenhave killeda righteousmanin his own houseon his bed,shall I not nowrequirehis bloodfrom your handand destroyyou from the earth?"
Davidsaidto God,"Is it not I who commandedto countthe people?Indeed, I am the one whohas sinnedand doneverywickedly,but thesesheep,whathave they done?O LORDmy God,pleaselet Your handbe against me and my father'shousehold,but not against Your peoplethat they should be plagued."
