Then AbrahamtookIshmaelhis son,and all[the servants] whowere bornin his houseand allwhowere boughtwith his money,everymaleamong the menof Abraham'shousehold,and circumcisedthe fleshof their foreskinin the verysameday,as Godhad saidto him.
When Abramheardthat his relativehad been takencaptive,he ledout his trainedmen,bornin his house,threehundredand eighteen,and wentin pursuitas faras Dan.
Godsaidfurther to Abraham,"Now as for you, you shall keepMy covenant,you and your descendantsafteryou throughout their generations.
"For I have chosenhim, sothat he may commandhis childrenand his householdafterhim to keepthe wayof the LORDby doingrighteousnessand justice,sothat the LORDmay bringupon AbrahamwhatHe has spokenabouthim."
Allwho wentout of the gateof his citylistenedto Hamorand to his sonShechem,and everymalewas circumcised,allwho wentout of the gateof his city.
I hastenedand did not delayTo keepYour commandments.
Do not boastabout tomorrow,For you do not knowwhata daymay bringforth.
Whateveryour handfindsto do,do[it] with [all] your might;for thereis noactivityor planningor knowledgeor wisdomin Sheolwhereyou are going.
Paulwantedthis manto gowith him; and he tookhim and circumcisedhim becauseof the Jewswho were in thoseparts,for they allknewthat his fatherwas a Greek.
For in ChristJesusneithercircumcisionnoruncircumcisionmeansanything,but faithworkingthroughlove.
For neitheris circumcisionanything,noruncircumcision,but a newcreation.
