Twosonswere bornto Eber;the nameof the one[was] Peleg,for in his daysthe earthwas divided;and his brother'sname[was] Joktan.
Theseare the sonsof Shem,according to their families,according to their languages,by their lands,according to their nations.
From thesethe coastlandsof the nationswere separatedinto their lands,everyoneaccording to his language,according to their families,into their nations.
Now the wholeearthusedthe samelanguageand the samewords.
And GodblessedNoahand his sonsand saidto them, "Be fruitfuland multiply,and fillthe earth.
Thesethree[were] the sonsof Noah,and from thesethe wholeearthwas populated.
"As for you, be fruitfuland multiply;Populatethe earthabundantlyand multiplyin it."
To whomalonethe landwas given,And noalienpassedamongthem.
and He madefrom one[man] everynationof mankindto liveon allthe faceof the earth,having determined[their] appointedtimesand the boundariesof their habitation,
