Evensoconsideryourselvesto be deadto sin,but aliveto Godin ChristJesus.
For sinshall not be master overyou, for you are not underlawbut undergrace.
May it neverbe! Howshall we whodiedto sinstilllivein it?
For we knowthat the Lawis spiritual,but I amof flesh,soldinto bondage to sin.
Therefore,my brethren,you alsowere made to dieto the Lawthroughthe bodyof Christ,sothat you might be joinedto another,to Him who was raisedfrom the dead,in orderthat we might bear fruitfor God.
For the lawof the Spiritof lifein ChristJesushas set you freefrom the lawof sinand of death.
Whether,then,you eatordrinkorwhateveryou do,doallto the gloryof God.
To the JewsI becameas a Jew,sothat I might winJews;to thosewhoare underthe Law,as underthe Lawthough not beingmyselfunderthe Law,sothat I might winthose whoare underthe Law;
and He diedfor all,sothat they who livemight no longerlivefor themselves,but for Him who diedand rose againon their behalf.
"I have been crucifiedwith Christ;and it is no longerI who live,but Christlivesin me; and the [life] whichI nowlivein the fleshI liveby faithin the Sonof God,who lovedme and gaveHimselfup for me.
For as manyas are of the worksof the Laware undera curse;for it is written,"CURSEDIS EVERYONEWHODOES NOT ABIDEBY ALL THINGSWRITTENIN THE BOOKOF THE LAW,TO PERFORMTHEM."
Thereforethe Lawhas becomeour tutor[to lead us] to Christ,sothat we may be justifiedby faith.
But may it neverbe that I would boast,exceptin the crossof our LordJesusChrist,throughwhichthe worldhas been crucifiedto me, and I to the world.
Ifyou have diedwith Christto the elementary principlesof the world,why,as ifyou were livingin the world,do you submit yourself to decrees,such as,
For you have diedand your lifeis hiddenwith Christin God.
who diedfor us, sothat whetherwe are awakeorasleep,we will livetogetherwith Him.
whogaveHimselffor us to redeemus from everylawless deed,and to purifyfor Himselfa peoplefor His ownpossession,zealousfor gooddeeds.
how muchmorewill the bloodof Christ,whothroughthe eternalSpiritofferedHimselfwithout blemishto God,cleanseyour consciencefrom deadworksto servethe livingGod?
and He Himselfboreour sinsin His bodyon the cross,sothat we might dieto sinand liveto righteousness;for by His woundsyou were healed.
For the gospelhas for thispurpose been preachedevento those who are dead,that thoughthey are judgedin the fleshas men,they may livein the spiritaccordingto [the] [will of] God.
