Now the LORDsaidto Moses,"Riseearlyin the morningand presentyourselfbeforePharaoh,as he comesout to the water,and sayto him, 'Thussaysthe LORD,"LetMy peoplego,that they may serveMe.
He spoke,and there camea swarmof flies[And] gnatsin alltheir territory.
He sentamong them swarmsof flieswhich devouredthem, And frogswhich destroyedthem.
The daughterof Pharaohcamedownto batheat the Nile,with her maidenswalkingalongsidethe Nile;and she sawthe basketamongthe reedsand senther maid,and she broughtit [to her].
"They will payheedto whatyou say;and you with the eldersof Israelwill cometo the kingof Egyptand you will sayto him, 'The LORD,the Godof the Hebrews,has metwith us. So now,please,let us goa threedays'journeyinto the wilderness,that we may sacrificeto the LORDour God.'
"So I saidto you, 'LetMy songothat he may serveMe'; but you have refusedto lethim go.Behold,I will killyour son,your firstborn."'"
And afterwardMosesand Aaroncameand saidto Pharaoh,"Thussaysthe LORD,the Godof Israel,LetMy peoplegothat they may celebratea feastto Me in the wilderness.'"
Then they said,"The Godof the Hebrewshas metwith us. Please,let us goa threedays'journeyinto the wildernessthat we may sacrificeto the LORDour God,otherwiseHe will fallupon us with pestilenceorwith the sword."
"Goto Pharaohin the morningas he is goingout to the water,and stationyourselfto meethim on the bankof the Nile;and you shall takein your handthe staffthat was turnedinto a serpent.
Then the LORDsaidto Moses,"Goto Pharaohand sayto him, 'Thussaysthe LORD,"LetMy peoplego,that they may serveMe.
"For ifyou do not letMy peoplego,behold,I will sendswarmsof insects on you and on your servantsand on your peopleand into your houses;and the housesof the Egyptianswill be fullof swarmsof insects, and alsothe groundon whichthey [dwell].
