Then the LORDspoketo Mosesand to Aaron,and gavethem a chargeto the sonsof Israeland to Pharaohkingof Egypt,to bringthe sonsof Israelout of the landof Egypt.
For He will giveHis angelschargeconcerning you, To guardyou in allyour ways.
But Mosesspokebeforethe LORD,saying,"Behold,the sonsof Israelhave not listenedto me; howthen will Pharaohlistento me, for I am unskilledin speech?"
Theseare the headsof their fathers'households.The sonsof Reuben,Israel'sfirstborn:Hanochand Pallu,Hezronand Carmi;theseare the familiesof Reuben.
It was [the same] Aaronand Mosesto whomthe LORDsaid,"Bringout the sonsof Israelfrom the landof Egyptaccordingto their hosts."
and have him standbeforeEleazarthe priestand beforeallthe congregation,and commissionhim in their sight.
Then he laidhis handson him and commissionedhim, justas the LORDhad spokenthroughMoses.
and saidto Him, "IfYou are the Sonof God,throwYourselfdown;for it is written,HE WILL COMMANDHIS ANGELSCONCERNINGYOU'; and 'ON [their] HANDSTHEY WILL BEARYOU UP, SOTHAT YOU WILL NOT STRIKEYOUR FOOTAGAINSTA STONE.'"
Then the LORDsaidto Moses,"Behold,the timefor you to dieis near;callJoshua,and presentyourselves at the tentof meeting,that I may commissionhim." So Mosesand Joshuawentand presentedthemselves at the tentof meeting.
ThiscommandI entrustto you, Timothy,[my] son,in accordancewith the propheciespreviously madeconcerningyou, that by them you fightthe goodfight,
I solemnly chargeyou in the presenceof Godand of ChristJesusand of [His] chosenangels,to maintainthese[principles] withoutbias,doingnothingin a [spirit of] partiality.
I chargeyou in the presenceof God,who gives lifeto all things,and of ChristJesus,who testifiedthe goodconfessionbeforePontiusPilate,
Instructthosewho are richin thispresentworldnot to be conceitedorto fix their hopeon the uncertaintyof riches,but on God,who richlysuppliesus with all thingsto enjoy.
Nosoldier in active serviceentangleshimself in the affairsof everyday life,sothat he may pleasethe one who enlisted him as a soldier.
I solemnly charge[you] in the presenceof Godand of ChristJesus,who is to judgethe livingand the dead,and by His appearingand His kingdom:
