Then Mosessaidto God,"Behold,I am goingto the sonsof Israel,and I will sayto them, 'The Godof your fathershas sentme to you.' Now they may sayto me, 'Whatis His name?'Whatshall I sayto them?"
Then Jacobaskedhim and said,"Pleasetellme your name."But he said,"Whyis it that you askmy name?"And he blessedhim there.
"The LORDis a warrior;The LORDis His name.
And He said,"CertainlyI will be with you, and thisshall be the signto you that it is I who have sentyou: when you have broughtthe peopleout of Egypt,you shall worshipGodat thismountain."
Godsaidto Moses,"I AMWHOI AM";and He said,"Thusyou shall sayto the sonsof Israel,I AMhas sentme to you.'"
God,furthermore,saidto Moses,"Thusyou shall sayto the sonsof Israel,The LORD,the Godof your fathers,the Godof Abraham,the Godof Isaac,and the Godof Jacob,has sentme to you.' Thisis My nameforever,and thisis My memorial-nameto allgenerations.
"You shall sayto him, 'The LORD,the Godof the Hebrews,sentme to you, saying,"LetMy peoplego,that they may serveMe in the wilderness.But behold,you have not listeneduntilnow."
Whohas ascendedinto heavenand descended?Whohas gatheredthe windin His fists?Whohas wrappedthe watersin His garment?Whohas establishedallthe endsof the earth?Whatis His nameor His son'sname?Surelyyou know!
"ThereforeMy peopleshall knowMy name;thereforein that dayI am the one who is speaking,'HereI am.'"
"Thereforethe LordHimselfwill giveyou a sign:Behold,a virginwill be with childand beara son,and she will callHis nameImmanuel.
For a childwill be bornto us, a sonwill be givento us; And the governmentwill reston His shoulders;And His namewill be calledWonderfulCounselor,MightyGod,EternalFather,Princeof Peace.

Then the womancameand toldher husband,saying,"A manof Godcameto me and his appearancewas like the appearanceof the angelof God,veryawesome.And I did not askhim wherehe [came] from, nordid he tellme his name.
