"The holygarmentsof Aaronshall be for his sonsafterhim, that in them they may be anointedand ordained.
"Have you not drivenout the priestsof the LORD,the sonsof Aaronand the Levites,and madefor yourselves priestslike the peoplesof [other] lands?Whoevercomesto consecratehimselfwith a youngbulland sevenrams,even he may becomea priestof [what are] nogods.
"You shall makeholygarmentsfor Aaronyour brother,for gloryand for beauty.
"It shall be for Aaronand his sonsas [their] portionforeverfrom the sonsof Israel,for it is a heaveoffering;and it shall be a heaveofferingfrom the sonsof Israelfrom the sacrificesof their peaceofferings,[even] their heaveofferingto the LORD.
"For sevendaysthe one of his sonswho is priestin his steadshall putthem on whenhe entersthe tentof meetingto ministerin the holyplace.
"You shall anointAaronand his sons,and consecratethem, that they may ministeras prieststo Me.
and you shall anointthem evenas you have anointedtheir father,that they may ministeras prieststo Me; and their anointingwill qualifythem for a perpetualpriesthoodthroughout their generations."
"So the priestwhois anointedand ordainedto serveas priestin his father'splaceshall makeatonement:he shall thus puton the linengarments,the holygarments,
Then the LORDspoketo Moses,saying,
Then the LORDspoketo Aaron,"Now behold,I Myselfhave givenyou chargeof My offerings,even allthe holygifts of the sonsof IsraelI have giventhem to you as a portionand to your sonsas a perpetualallotment.
The congregationshall deliverthe manslayerfrom the handof the bloodavenger,and the congregationshall restorehim to his cityof refugeto whichhe fled;and he shall livein it untilthe deathof the highpriestwhowas anointedwith the holyoil.
