Thistemplewas completedon the thirddayof the monthAdar;it was the sixthyearof the reignof KingDarius.
And it cameabout in the monthNisan,in the twentiethyearof KingArtaxerxes,that wine[was] beforehim, and I tookup the wineand gaveit to the king.Now I had not beensadin his presence.

Now in the twelfthmonth(that is, the monthAdar),on the thirteenthdaywhenthe king'scommandand edictwere about to be executed,on the daywhenthe enemiesof the Jewshopedto gainthe masteryoverthem, it was turnedto the contrary so that the Jewsthemselvesgainedthe masteryoverthose who hatedthem.
obligingthem to celebratethe fourteenthdayof the monthAdar,and the fifteenthdayof the same month, annually,
Thus the Jewsstruckalltheir enemieswith the sword,killingand destroying;and they didwhatthey pleasedto those who hatedthem.
The lotis castinto the lap,But its everydecisionis from the LORD.
And when they had crucifiedHim, they dividedup His garmentsamongthemselves by castinglots.
