However, he did not puttheir childrento death,but [did] as it is writtenin the lawin the bookof Moses,whichthe LORDcommanded,saying,"Fathersshall not be putto deathfor sons,norsonsbe putto deathfor fathers,but eachshall be putto deathfor his own sin."
"The personwho sinswill die.The sonwill not bearthe punishmentfor the father'siniquity,norwill the fatherbearthe punishmentfor the son'siniquity;the righteousnessof the righteouswill be upon himself, and the wickednessof the wickedwill be upon himself.
"Behold,allsoulsare Mine; the soulof the fatheras well as the soulof the sonis Mine. The soulwho sinswill die.

The sonsof Korah,however, did not die.
