"Ifyour kinsman,a Hebrewmanorwoman,is soldto you, then he shall serveyou sixyears,but in the seventhyearyou shall sethim free.
"Now theseare the ordinanceswhichyou are to setbeforethem:
"At the endof sevenyearseachof you shall setfreehis Hebrewbrotherwhohas been soldto you and has servedyou sixyears,you shall sendhim out freefrom you; but your forefathersdid not obeyMe or inclinetheir earto Me.
"At the endof [every] sevenyearsyou shall granta remission[of debts].
"Whenyou sethim free,you shall not sendhim awayempty-handed.
