He didevilin the sightof the LORDlike the houseof Ahab,for they were his counselorsafterthe deathof his father,to his destruction.
"Ifit be [so], our Godwhomwe serveis ableto deliverus from the furnaceof blazingfire;and He will deliverus out of your hand,O king.
But thesethreemen,Shadrach,Meshachand Abed-nego,fellinto the midstof the furnaceof blazingfire[still] tiedup.
He said,"Look!I seefourmenloosed[and] walking[about] in the midstof the firewithoutharm,and the appearanceof the fourthis likea sonof [the] gods!"
it is you, O king;for you have becomegreatand grownstrong,and your majestyhas becomegreatand reachedto the skyand your dominionto the endof the earth.
Therefore,O king,may my advicebe pleasingto you: breakawaynow from your sinsby [doing] righteousnessand from your iniquitiesby showingmercyto [the] poor,in casethere may be a prolongingof your prosperity.'
"O king,the MostHighGodgrantedsovereignty,grandeur,gloryand majestyto Nebuchadnezzaryour father.
Thenthe king'sfacegrewpaleand his thoughtsalarmedhim, and his hipjointswentslackand his kneesbegan knockingtogether.
"My GodsentHis angeland shutthe lions'mouthsand they have not harmedme, inasmuchas I was foundinnocentbeforeHim; and alsotowardyou, O king,I have committednocrime."
"Allthe commissionersof the kingdom,the prefectsand the satraps,the highofficialsand the governorshave consultedtogetherthat the kingshould establisha statuteand enforcean injunctionthat anyonewhomakesa petitionto anygodor manbesidesyou, O king,for thirtydays,shall be castinto the lions'den.
When he knockedat the doorof the gate,a servant-girlnamedRhodacameto answer.
at midday,O King,I sawon the waya lightfrom heaven,brighterthanthe sun,shining all aroundme and thosewho were journeyingwith me.
"KingAgrippa,do you believethe Prophets?I knowthat you do."
but getup and enterthe city,and it will be toldyou whatyou mustdo."
