SimonPeteranswered,"You are the Christ,the Sonof the livingGod."
"Gothereforeand make disciplesof allthe nations,baptizingthem in the nameof the Fatherand the Sonand the HolySpirit,
"He who has believedand has been baptizedshall be saved;but he who has disbelievedshall be condemned.
She saidto Him, "Yes,Lord;I have believedthat You are the Christ,the Sonof God,[even] He who comesinto the world."
but thesehave been writtensothat you may believethat Jesusis the Christ,the Sonof God;and that believingyou may havelifein His name.
SimonPeteransweredHim, "Lord,to whomshall we go?You havewordsof eternallife.
Jesusheardthat they had puthim out, and findinghim, He said,"Do you believein the Sonof Man?"
Peter[said] to them, "Repent,and eachof you be baptizedin the nameof JesusChristfor the forgivenessof your sins;and you will receivethe giftof the HolySpirit.
But whenthey believedPhilippreaching the good newsaboutthe kingdomof Godand the nameof JesusChrist,they were being baptized,menand womenalike.
"You have nopartorportionin thismatter,for your heartis not rightbeforeGod.
As they wentalongthe roadthey cameto somewater;and the eunuchsaid,"Look!Water!Whatpreventsme from being baptized?"
And he orderedthe chariotto stop;and they bothwent downinto the water,Philipas wellas the eunuch,and he baptizedhim.
and immediatelyhe [began] to proclaimJesusin the synagogues,saying,"He is the Sonof God."
for with the hearta person believes,resultingin righteousness,and with the mouthhe confesses,resultingin salvation.
ThereforeI make knownto you that noonespeakingby the Spiritof Godsays,"Jesusis accursed";and no onecansay,"Jesusis Lord,"exceptby the HolySpirit.
Correspondingto that, baptismnowsavesyou-- not the removalof dirtfrom the flesh,but an appealto Godfor a goodconscience--throughthe resurrectionof JesusChrist,
Whoeverconfessesthat Jesusis the Sonof God,Godabidesin him, and he in God.
Whoeverbelievesthat Jesusis the Christis bornof God,and whoeverlovesthe Fatherlovesthe [child] bornof Him.
The one who believesin the Sonof Godhasthe testimonyin himself;the one who does not believeGodhas madeHim a liar,becausehe has not believedin the testimonythat Godhas givenconcerningHis Son.
Whois the one who overcomesthe world,but he who believesthat Jesusis the Sonof God?
