But as for you, brethren,do not grow wearyof doing good.
[I would have despaired] unlessI had believedthat I would seethe goodnessof the LORDIn the landof the living.
In that dayit will be saidto Jerusalem:"Do not be afraid,O Zion;Do not let your handsfalllimp.
"You also say,My, howtiresomeit is!' And you disdainfullysniffat it," saysthe LORDof hosts,"and you bringwhat was takenby robberyand [what is] lameor sick;so you bringthe offering!Should I receivethat from your hand?"saysthe LORD.
NowHe was tellingthem a parableto show that at all timesthey oughtto prayand not to lose heart,
to thosewho by perseverancein doinggoodseekfor gloryand honorand immortality,eternallife;
Whenallthingsare subjectedto Him, thenthe SonHimselfalsowill be subjectedto the One who subjectedallthingsto Him, sothat Godmay be all in all.
Therefore,since we havethisministry,as we received mercy,we do not lose heart,
Thereforewe do not lose heart,but thoughour outermanis decaying,yetour inner manis being reneweddayby day.
"Then the officersshall speakfurtherto the peopleand say,Whois the manthat is afraidand fainthearted?Let him departand returnto his house,so that he might not make his brothers'heartsmeltlike his heart.'
And thisI pray,that your lovemay aboundstillmoreand morein real knowledgeand alldiscernment,
Finallythen,brethren,we requestand exhortyou in the LordJesus,that as you receivedfrom us [instruction] as to howyou oughtto walkand pleaseGod(justas you actuallydo walk),that you excelstill more.
[Yet] do not regardhim as an enemy,but admonishhim as a brother.
For considerHim who has enduredsuchhostilityby sinnersagainstHimself,sothat you will not grow wearyand loseheart.
and you have forgottenthe exhortationwhichis addressedto you as sons,"MY SON,DO NOT REGARD LIGHTLYTHE DISCIPLINEOF THE LORD,NORFAINTWHEN YOU ARE REPROVEDBY HIM;
and you haveperseveranceand have enduredfor My name'ssake,and have not grown weary.
