So the kingsaidto Ziba,"Behold,allthat belongs to Mephiboshethis yours." And Zibasaid,"I prostratemyself; let me findfavorin your sight,O my lord,the king!"
Whoever secretlyslandershis neighbor,him I will destroy;Noone who has a haughtylookand an arrogantheartwill I endure.
He does not slanderwith his tongue,Nordoesevilto his neighbor,Nortakesup a reproachagainsthis friend;
You have removedloverand friendfarfrom me; My acquaintancesare [in] darkness.

Soare the waysof everyonewho gainsby violence;It takesaway the lifeof its possessors.
A false witnesswill perish,But the manwho listens[to the truth] will speakforever.
Do not trustin a neighbor;Do not haveconfidencein a friend.From her who liesin your bosomGuardyour lips.
Woeto them! For they have gonethe wayof Cain,and for paythey have rushed headlonginto the errorof Balaam,and perishedin the rebellionof Korah.
