Argueyour casewith your neighbor,And do not revealthe secretof another,

[Though his] hatredcoversitself with guile,His wickednesswill be revealedbefore the assembly.
Do not be eagerin your heartto be angry,For angerresidesin the bosomof fools.

But the one who hateshis brotheris in the darknessand walksin the darkness,and does not knowwherehe is goingbecausethe darknesshas blindedhis eyes.
The one who sayshe is in the Lightand [yet] hateshis brotheris in the darknessuntilnow.
By thisthe childrenof Godand the childrenof the devilare obvious:anyonewho does not practicerighteousnessis not of God,northe one who does not lovehis brother.
not as Cain,[who] was of the eviloneand slewhis brother.And for whatreasondid he slayhim? Becausehis deedswere evil,and his brother'swere righteous.
Everyonewho hateshis brotheris a murderer;and you knowthat nomurdererhaseternallifeabidingin him.
