Correspondingto that, baptismnowsavesyou-- not the removalof dirtfrom the flesh,but an appealto Godfor a goodconscience--throughthe resurrectionof JesusChrist,
For you were calledto freedom,brethren;only[do] not [turn] your freedominto an opportunityfor the flesh,but throughloveserveone another.
For in ChristJesusneithercircumcisionnoruncircumcisionmeansanything,but faithworkingthroughlove.
When Jesusheard[this], He saidto him, "One thingyou stilllack;sellallthat you possessand distributeit to the poor,and you shall havetreasurein heaven;and come,followMe."
Lookingat him, Jesusfelt a lovefor him and saidto him, "One thingyou lack:goand sellallyou possessand giveto the poor,and you will havetreasurein heaven;and come,followMe."
Becauseyou say,"I amrich,and have become wealthy,and haveneedof nothing,"and you do not knowthat you are wretchedand miserableand poorand blindand naked,
"Afterthe article with the markhas been washed,the priestshall againlook,and ifthe markhas not changedits appearance,even though the markhas not spread,it is unclean;you shall burnit in the fire,whether an eatingawayhas produced barenesson the toporon the frontof it.
