Then Elishasaidto them, "Thisis not the way,noris thisthe city;followme and I will bringyou to the manwhomyou seek."And he broughtthem to Samaria.
When they camedownto him, Elishaprayedto the LORDand said,"Strikethispeoplewith blindness,I pray."So He struckthem with blindnessaccording to the wordof Elisha.
When they had comeinto Samaria,Elishasaid,"O LORD,openthe eyesof these[men], that they may see."So the LORDopenedtheir eyesand they saw;and behold,they were in the midstof Samaria.
ThenJesussaidto His disciples,"Ifanyonewishesto comeafterMe, he must denyhimself,and takeup his crossand followMe.
And He summonedthe crowdwith His disciples,and saidto them, "Ifanyonewishesto comeafterMe, he must denyhimself,and takeup his crossand followMe.
But their eyeswere preventedfrom recognizingHim.
And He was sayingto [them] all,"Ifanyonewishesto comeafterMe, he must denyhimself,and takeup his crossdailyand followMe.
