As for Titus,[he is] my partnerand fellow workeramongyou; as for our brethren,[they are] messengersof the churches,a gloryto Christ.
and soalso[were] Jamesand John,sonsof Zebedee,whowere partnerswith Simon.And Jesussaidto Simon,"Do not fear,from nowon you will be catchingmen."
sothey signaledto their partnersin the otherboatfor them to comeand helpthem. And they cameand filledbothof the boats,sothat they began to sink.
"Truly,truly,I sayto you, a slaveis not greaterthan his master,nor[is] one who is sentgreaterthan the one who senthim.
For a manoughtnot to have his headcovered,since he is the imageand gloryof God;but the womanis the gloryof man.
I urgedTitus[to go], and I sentthe brotherwith him. Titusdid not take any advantageof you, did he? Did we not conduct ourselvesin the samespirit[and walk] in the samesteps?
But God,who comfortsthe depressed,comfortedus by the comingof Titus;
But thanksbe to Godwho putsthe sameearnestnesson your behalfin the heartof Titus.
We have sent alongwith him the brotherwhosefamein [the things of] the gospel[has spread] throughallthe churches;
and not only[this], but he has alsobeen appointedby the churchesto travelwith us in thisgracious work,which is being administeredby us for the gloryof the LordHimself,and [to show] our readiness,
We have sentwith them our brother,whomwe have oftentestedand founddiligentin manythings,but noweven morediligentbecause of [his] greatconfidencein you.
Sowe urgedTitusthat as he had previously made a beginning,sohe would alsocompletein you thisgracious workas well.
But I thoughtit necessaryto sendto you Epaphroditus,my brotherand fellow workerand fellow soldier,who is alsoyour messengerand ministerto my need;
Indeed,true companion,I askyou alsoto helpthesewomenwhohave shared my strugglein [the cause of] the gospel,togetherwith Clementalsoand the restof my fellow workers,whosenamesare in the bookof life.
justas you learned[it] from Epaphras,our belovedfellow bond-servant,whois a faithfulservantof Christon our behalf,
but after we had already sufferedand been mistreatedin Philippi,as you know,we had the boldnessin our Godto speakto you the gospelof Godamidmuchopposition.
for Demas,having lovedthispresentworld,has desertedme and goneto Thessalonica;Crescens[has gone] to Galatia,Titusto Dalmatia.
To Titus,my true childin a commonfaith:Graceand peacefrom Godthe Fatherand ChristJesusour Savior.
Ifthenyou regardme a partner,accepthim as [you would] me.
[as do] Mark,Aristarchus,Demas,Luke,my fellow workers.
Thereforewe oughtto supportsuch men,sothat we may be fellow workerswith the truth.
