They faithfullybroughtin the contributionsand the tithesand the consecratedthings;and Conaniahthe Levite[was] the officerin chargeof them and his brotherShimei[was] second.
Moreover, they did not requirean accountingfrom the meninto whosehandthey gavethe moneyto payto those who didthe work,for they dealtfaithfully.
Jehiel,Azaziah,Nahath,Asahel,Jerimoth,Jozabad,Eliel,Ismachiah,Mahathand Benaiah[were] overseersunderthe authorityof Conaniahand Shimeihis brotherby the appointmentof KingHezekiah,and Azariah[was] the [chief] officerof the houseof God.
Also for the sonsof Aaronthe priests[who were] in the pasturelandsof their cities,or in eachand everycity,[there were] menwhowere designatedby nameto distributeportionsto everymaleamong the priestsand to everyonegenealogicallyenrolledamong the Levites.
Conaniahalso, and Shemaiahand Nethanel,his brothers,and Hashabiahand Jeieland Jozabad,the officersof the Levites,contributedto the Levitesfor the Passoverofferings5000[from the flocks] and 500bulls.
For the sonsof Israeland the sonsof Levishall bringthe contributionof the grain,the newwineand the oilto the chambers;thereare the utensilsof the sanctuary,the priestswho are ministering,the gatekeepersand the singers.Thus we will not neglectthe houseof our God.
