Jeroboamdid not againrecoverstrengthin the daysof Abijah;and the LORDstruckhim and he died.
The timethat Jeroboamreigned[was] twenty-twoyears;and he sleptwith his fathers,and Nadabhis sonreignedin his place.
So in the twentiethyearof Jeroboamthe kingof Israel,Asabegan to reignas kingof Judah.
AbijahpursuedJeroboamand capturedfrom him [several] cities,Bethelwith its villages,Jeshanahwith its villagesand Ephronwith its villages.
But Abijahbecamepowerful;and tookfourteenwivesto himself, and becamethe fatherof twenty-twosonsand sixteendaughters.
"Sonof man,behold,I am about to takefrom you the desireof your eyeswith a blow;but you shall not mournand you shall not weep,and your tearsshall not come.
And immediatelyan angelof the Lordstruckhim becausehe did not giveGodthe glory,and he was eaten by wormsand died.
About tendayslater, the LORDstruckNabaland he died.
