A widowis to be put on the listonly if she is not lessthan sixtyyearsold, [having been] the wifeof oneman,
"Then they shall takeotherstonesand replace[those] stones,and he shall takeotherplasterand replasterthe house.
Deaconsmust be husbandsof [only] onewife,[and] goodmanagersof [their] childrenand their ownhouseholds.
An overseer,then,mustbe above reproach,the husbandof onewife,temperate,prudent,respectable,hospitable,able to teach,
But refuse[to put] youngerwidows[on the list], for whenthey feel sensual desires in disregardof Christ,they wantto get married,
Therefore,I wantyounger[widows] to get married,bear children,keep house,[and] givethe enemynooccasionfor reproach;
Ifany womanwho is a believerhas[dependent] widows,she must assistthem and the churchmust not be burdened,sothat it may assistthosewho are widowsindeed.
