At the same timethey alsolearn[to be] idle,as they go aroundfrom house to house;and not merelyidle,but alsogossipsand busybodies,talkingabout things not proper[to mention].
He who goesabout as a talebearerrevealssecrets,But he who is trustworthyconcealsa matter.
He who goesabout as a slandererrevealssecrets,Therefore do not associatewith a gossip.
She lookswellto the waysof her household,And does not eatthe breadof idleness.
She is boisterousand rebellious,Her feetdo not remainat home;
You shall not goabout as a slandereramong your people,and you are not to actagainstthe lifeof your neighbor;I am the LORD.
"Stayin that house,eatingand drinkingwhat they giveyou; for the laboreris worthyof his wages.Do not keep movingfrom houseto house.
howI did not shrinkfrom declaringto you anythingthat was profitable,and teachingyou publiclyand from house to house,
and from amongyour own selvesmenwill arise,speakingperverse things,to draw awaythe disciplesafterthem.
[thus] incurringcondemnation,becausethey have set asidetheir previouspledge.
whomustbe silencedbecausethey are upsettingwholefamilies,teachingthingsthey shouldnot [teach] for the sakeof sordidgain.

Makesure that noneof you suffersas a murderer,orthief,orevildoer,ora troublesome meddler;
For thisreason,ifI come,I will call attentionto his deedswhichhe does,unjustly accusingus with wickedwords;and not satisfiedwith this,he himselfdoes not receivethe brethren,either,and he forbidsthosewho desire[to do so] and puts[them] out of the church.
