Now when eveningcameDavidarosefrom his bedand walkedaroundon the roofof the king'shouse,and from the roofhe sawa womanbathing;and the womanwas verybeautifulin appearance.
So the peoplewentout and brought[them] and madeboothsfor themselves, eachon his roof,and in their courtsand in the courtsof the houseof God,and in the squareat the WaterGateand in the squareat the Gateof Ephraim.
"The housesof Jerusalemand the housesof the kingsof Judahwill be defiledlike the placeTopheth,because of allthe houseson whoserooftopsthey burnedsacrificesto allthe heavenlyhostand pouredout drinkofferingsto othergods."'"

And they aroseearly;and at daybreakSamuelcalledto Saulon the roof,saying,"Getup, that I may sendyou away."So Saularose,and bothhe and Samuelwentout into the street.
