and saidto them, "Returnto your tentswith greatrichesand with verymuchlivestock,with silver,gold,bronze,iron,and with verymanyclothes;dividethe spoilof your enemieswith your brothers."

Davidsaidto his men,"Each[of you] girdon his sword."So eachmangirdedon his sword.And Davidalsogirdedon his sword,and about fourhundredmenwentup behindDavidwhile two hundredstayedwith the baggage.
Then Davidsaid,"You must not doso,my brothers,with whatthe LORDhas givenus, who has keptus and deliveredinto our handthe bandthat cameagainstus.
So it has beenfrom that dayforward,that he madeit a statuteand an ordinancefor Israelto thisday.
