Then they toldSaul,saying,"Behold,the peopleare sinningagainst the LORDby eatingwith the blood."And he said,"You have actedtreacherously;rolla greatstoneto me today."
"Onlyyou shall not eatfleshwith its life,[that is], its blood.
And anymanfrom the houseof Israel,or from the alienswho sojournamongthem, whoeatsanyblood,I will setMy faceagainst that personwho eatsbloodand will cuthim offfrom amonghis people.
You shall not eat[anything] with the blood,norpracticedivinationor soothsaying.
You are not to eatanyblood,either of birdor animal,in anyof your dwellings.
Anypersonwhoeatsanyblood,even that personshall be cutofffrom his people.'"

but that we writeto them that they abstainfrom things contaminatedby idolsand from fornicationand from what is strangledand from blood.
Thereforeyou haveno excuse,everyoneof you who passesjudgment,for in that whichyou judgeanother,you condemnyourself;for you who judgepracticethe same things.

Saulsaid,"Disperseyourselvesamong the peopleand sayto them, 'Eachoneof you bringme his oxor his sheep,and slaughter[it] hereand eat;and do not sinagainst the LORDby eatingwith the blood.'"So allthe peoplethat nightbroughteachonehis oxwith him and slaughtered[it] there.
