Elkanahher husbandsaidto her, "Dowhatseems bestto you. Remainuntilyou have weanedhim; onlymay the LORDconfirmHis word."So the womanremainedand nursedher sonuntilshe weanedhim.
"Nowtherefore, O LORDGod,the wordthat You have spokenconcerningYour servantand his house,confirm[it] forever,and doas You have spoken,
"When I rosein the morningto nursemy son,behold,he was dead;but when I lookedat him carefullyin the morning,behold,he was not my son,whomI had borne."
YetYou are He who broughtme forthfrom the womb;You made me trust[when] upon my mother'sbreasts.
Confirmingthe wordof His servantAnd performingthe purposeof His messengers.[It is I] who saysof Jerusalem,'She shall be inhabited!'And of the citiesof Judah,They shall be built.'And I will raiseup her ruins[again].
"But ifher husbandindeedannulsthem on the dayhe hears[them], then whateverproceedsout of her lipsconcerning her vowsor concerning the obligationof herselfshall not stand;her husbandhas annulledthem, and the LORDwill forgiveher.
"But woeto thosewho are pregnantand to thosewho are nursing babiesin thosedays!
WhileJesus was sayingthese things,oneof the womenin the crowdraisedher voiceand saidto Him, "Blessedis the wombthat boreYou and the breastsat whichYou nursed."
Then Eliansweredand said,"Goin peace;and may the Godof Israelgrantyour petitionthat you have askedof Him."
Then Saulsaid,"Let us godownafterthe Philistinesby nightand takespoilamong them untilthe morninglight,and let us not leavea manof them." And they said,"Dowhateverseems goodto you." So the priestsaid,"Let us drawnearto Godhere."
Then he saidto allIsrael,"You shall be on onesideand I and Jonathanmy sonwill be on the otherside."And the peoplesaidto Saul,"Dowhatseems goodto you."
