The loweststory[was] fivecubitswide,and the middle[was] sixcubitswide,and the third[was] sevencubitswide;for on the outsidehe madeoffsets[in the wall] of the houseallaroundin order that [the beams] would not be insertedin the wallsof the house.
Againstthe wallof the househe builtstoriesencompassingthe wallsof the housearoundboth the naveand the innersanctuary;thus he madesidechambersallaround.
The house,while it was being built,was builtof stonepreparedat the quarry,and there was neitherhammernoraxenoranyirontoolheardin the housewhile it was being built.
Then Solomonbeganto buildthe houseof the LORDin Jerusalemon MountMoriah,where[the LORD] had appearedto his fatherDavid,at the placethat Davidhad preparedon the threshingfloorof Ornanthe Jebusite.
The sidechamberswere in threestories, oneaboveanother,and thirtyin eachstory;and the side chambersextendedto the wallwhich[stood] on their inwardsideallaround,that they might be fastened,and not be fastenedinto the wallof the temple[itself].
