So Hiramsent[word] to Solomon,saying,"I have heard[the message] whichyou have sentme; I will dowhatyou desireconcerning the cedarand cypresstimber.
Meanwhile, Davidand allthe houseof Israelwere celebratingbeforethe LORDwith allkinds of [instruments made of] firwood,and with lyres,harps,tambourines,castanetsand cymbals.
When Hiramheardthe wordsof Solomon,he rejoicedgreatlyand said,"Blessedbe the LORDtoday,whohas givento Davida wisesonoverthisgreatpeople."
"My servantswill bring[them] downfrom Lebanonto the sea;and I will makethem into rafts[to go] by seato the placewhereyou directme, and I will have them brokenup there,and you shall carry[them] away. Then you shall accomplishmy desireby givingfoodto my household."
Then he builtthe wallsof the houseon the insidewith boardsof cedar;from the floorof the houseto the ceilinghe overlaid[the walls] on the insidewith wood,and he overlaidthe floorof the housewith boardsof cypress.
and twodoorsof cypresswood;the twoleavesof the onedoorturnedon pivots,and the twoleavesof the otherdoorturnedon pivots.
"We will cutwhatevertimberyou needfrom Lebanonand bringit to you on raftsby seato Joppa,so that you may carryit up to Jerusalem."
He overlaidthe mainroomwith cypresswoodand overlaidit with finegold,and ornamentedit with palmtreesand chains.
