When [Ben-hadad] heardthismessage,as he was drinkingwith the kingsin the temporaryshelters,he saidto his servants,"Station[yourselves]." So they stationed[themselves] againstthe city.
Absalomcommandedhis servants,saying,"Seenow,when Amnon'sheartis merrywith wine,and when I sayto you, 'StrikeAmnon,'then puthim to death.Do not fear;have not I myselfcommandedyou? Be courageousand be valiant."
His servantZimri,commanderof halfhis chariots,conspiredagainsthim. Now he [was] at Tirzahdrinkinghimself drunkin the houseof Arza,who[was] overthe householdat Tirzah.
They wentout at noon,while Ben-hadadwas drinkinghimself drunkin the temporaryshelterswith the thirty-twokingswho helpedhim.
and sayto them, 'Thussaysthe LORDof hosts,the Godof Israel,"Behold,I am going to sendand getNebuchadnezzarthe kingof Babylon,My servant,and I am going to sethis throne[right] overthesestonesthat I have hidden;and he will spreadhis canopyoverthem.
When Belshazzartastedthe wine,he gaveordersto bringthe goldand silvervesselswhichNebuchadnezzarhis fatherhad takenout of the templewhich[was] in Jerusalem,so that the kingand his nobles,his wivesand his concubinesmight drinkfrom them.
That same nightBelshazzarthe Chaldeankingwas slain.
"Be on guard,sothat your heartswill not be weighted downwith dissipationand drunkennessand the worriesof life,and that daywill not comeon you suddenlylikea trap;
And do not get drunkwith wine,for that is dissipation,but be filledwith the Spirit,
Then Abigailcameto Nabal,and behold,he was holding a feastin his house,like the feastof a king.And Nabal'sheartwas merrywithinhim, for he was verydrunk;so she did not tellhim anythingat alluntilthe morninglight.
