So KingSolomonsent,and they broughthim downfrom the altar.And he cameand prostratedhimself before KingSolomon,and Solomonsaidto him, "Goto your house."
On the thirdday,behold,a mancameout of the campfrom Saul,with his clothestornand duston his head.And it cameabout when he cameto Davidthat he fellto the groundand prostratedhimself.
However the kingsaid,"Let him turnto his own house,and let him not seemy face."So Absalomturnedto his own houseand did not seethe king'sface.
Now Absalomlivedtwo fullyearsin Jerusalem,and did not seethe king'sface.
So when Joabcameto the kingand toldhim, he calledfor Absalom.Thus he cameto the kingand prostratedhimself on his faceto the groundbeforethe king,and the kingkissedAbsalom.
Then Bathshebabowedand prostratedherself before the king.And the kingsaid,"Whatdo you wish?"
Then Bathshebabowedwith her faceto the ground,and prostratedherself before the kingand said,"May my lordKingDavidliveforever."
Solomonsaid,"Ifhe is a worthyman,not one of his hairswill fallto the ground;but ifwickednessis foundin him, he will die."
As David'stimeto diedrewnear,he chargedSolomonhis son,saying,
Now the kingsentand calledfor Shimeiand saidto him, "Buildfor yourself a housein Jerusalemand livethere,and do not goout from thereto anyplace.
My son,fearthe LORDand the king;Do not associatewith those who are givento change,
