Beloved,ifGodsolovedus, we alsooughtto loveone another.
bearingwith one another,and forgivingeach other,whoeverhasa complaintagainstanyone;justas the Lordforgaveyou, soalsoshould you.
"A newcommandmentI giveto you, that you loveoneanother,evenas I have lovedyou, that you alsoloveone another.
Thisis His commandment,that we believein the nameof His SonJesusChrist,and loveone another,justas He commandedus.
And he said,"The one who showedmercytowardhim." ThenJesussaidto him, "Goand dothe same."
Let allbitternessand wrathand angerand clamorand slanderbe put awayfrom you, alongwith allmalice.
Beloved,I am not writinga newcommandmentto you, but an oldcommandmentwhichyou have hadfrom the beginning;the oldcommandmentis the wordwhichyou have heard.
For thisis the messagewhichyou have heardfrom the beginning,that we should loveone another;
Beloved,let us loveone another,for loveis from God;and everyonewho lovesis bornof Godand knowsGod.
NowI askyou, lady,not as though [I were] writingto you a newcommandment,but the one whichwe have hadfrom the beginning,that we loveone another.
