The one who keepsHis commandmentsabidesin Him, and He in him. We knowby thisthat He abidesin us, by the SpiritwhomHe has givenus.
but ifI dothem, thoughyou do not believeMe, believethe works,sothat you may knowand understandthat the Fatheris in Me, and I in the Father."
[that is] the Spiritof truth,whomthe worldcannotreceive,becauseit does not seeHim orknowHim, [but] you knowHim becauseHe abideswith you and will be in you.
that they may allbe one;evenas You, Father,[are] in Me and I in You, that they alsomay be in Us, sothat the worldmay believethat You sentMe.
Do you not knowthat you are a templeof Godand [that] the Spiritof Goddwellsin you?
Ordo you not knowthat your bodyis a templeof the HolySpiritwho is in you, whomyou havefrom God,and that you are not your own?
Orwhatagreementhas the templeof Godwith idols?For we are the templeof the livingGod;justas Godsaid,"I WILL DWELLIN THEM AND WALK AMONGTHEM; AND I WILL BE THEIR GOD,AND THEY SHALL BE MY PEOPLE.
So,he who rejects[this] is not rejectingmanbut the Godwho givesHis HolySpiritto you.
Guard,throughthe HolySpiritwho dwellsin us, the treasurewhich has been entrustedto [you].
As for you, let that abidein you whichyou heardfrom the beginning.Ifwhatyou heardfrom the beginningabidesin you, you alsowill abidein the Sonand in the Father.
By thiswe knowthat we have come to knowHim, ifwe keepHis commandments.
but whoeverkeepsHis word,in him the loveof Godhas trulybeen perfected.By thiswe knowthat we are in Him:
the one who sayshe abidesin Him oughthimselfto walkin the same manneras He walked.
and whateverwe askwe receivefrom Him, becausewe keepHis commandmentsand dothe things that are pleasingin His sight.
Beloved,let us loveone another,for loveis from God;and everyonewho lovesis bornof Godand knowsGod.
