and the lifewas manifested,and we have seenand testifyand proclaimto you the eternallife,whichwas with the Fatherand was manifestedto us--
No onehas seenGodat any time;the only begottenGodwho is in the bosomof the Father,He has explained[Him].
In Him was life,and the lifewas the Lightof men.
and I giveeternallifeto them, and they will neverperish;and noonewill snatchthem out of My hand.
Jesussaidto him, "I amthe way,and the truth,and the life;no onecomesto the Fatherbut throughMe.
and you [will] testifyalso,becauseyou have beenwith Me from the beginning.
"I came forthfrom the Fatherand have comeinto the world;I am leavingthe worldagainand goingto the Father."
"Thisis eternallife,that they may knowYou, the onlytrue God,and JesusChristwhomYou have sent.
"Now,Father,glorifyMe togetherwith Yourself,with the glorywhichI hadwith You beforethe worldwas.
And he who has seenhas testified, and his testimonyis true;and he knowsthat he is tellingthe truth,sothat you alsomay believe.
Thisis nowthe third timethat Jesuswas manifestedto the disciples,after He was raisedfrom the dead.
"No onehas ascendedinto heaven,but He who descendedfrom heaven:the Sonof Man.
"I knowHim, becauseI amfrom Him, and He sentMe."
"I speakthe things whichI have seenwith [My] Father;thereforeyou alsodothe things whichyou heardfrom [your] father."
beginningwith the baptismof Johnuntilthe daythat He was takenup from us-- oneof these[must] becomea witnesswith us of His resurrection."
not to allthe people,but to witnesseswho were chosen beforehandby God,[that is], to us whoateand drankwith Him afterHe arosefrom the dead.
"ThisJesusGodraised up again,to whichwe are allwitnesses.
but put to deaththe Princeof life,[the one] whomGodraisedfrom the dead,[a fact] to whichwe are witnesses.
"And we are witnessesof thesethings;and [so is] the HolySpirit,whomGodhas givento thosewho obeyHim."
For whatthe Lawcouldnot do, weakas it was throughthe flesh,God[did]: sendingHis ownSonin the likenessof sinfulfleshand [as an offering] for sin,He condemnedsinin the flesh,
But whenthe fullnessof the timecame,Godsent forthHis Son,bornof a woman,bornunderthe Law,
By common confession,greatis the mysteryof godliness:He whowas revealedin the flesh,Was vindicatedin the Spirit,Seenby angels,Proclaimedamongthe nations,Believedon in the world,Takenup in glory.
but nowhas been revealedby the appearingof our SaviorChristJesus,who abolisheddeathand broughtlifeand immortalityto lightthroughthe gospel,
in the hopeof eternallife,whichGod,who cannot lie,promisedlong agesago,
Therefore,I exhortthe eldersamongyou, as [your] fellow elderand witnessof the sufferingsof Christ,and a partakeralsoof the glorythat is to be revealed,
Whatwas from the beginning,whatwe have heard,whatwe have seenwith our eyes,whatwe have lookedat and touchedwith our hands,concerningthe Wordof Life--
Thisis the promisewhichHe Himselfmadeto us: eternallife.
You knowthat He appearedin orderto take awaysins;and in Him there is nosin.
the one who practicessinis of the devil;for the devilhas sinnedfrom the beginning.The Sonof Godappearedfor thispurpose, to destroythe worksof the devil.
We have seenand testifythat the Fatherhas sentthe Son[to be] the Saviorof the world.
By thisyou knowthe Spiritof God:everyspiritthat confessesthat JesusChristhas comein the fleshis from God;
And the testimonyis this,that Godhas givenus eternallife,and thislifeis in His Son.
These thingsI have writtento you who believein the nameof the Sonof God,sothat you may knowthat you haveeternallife.
And we knowthat the Sonof Godhas come,and has givenus understandingsothat we may knowHim whois true;and we are in Him who is true,in His SonJesusChrist.Thisis the true Godand eternallife.
