For ifsomeoneseesyou, who haveknowledge,diningin an idol's temple,will not his conscience,if he is weak,be strengthenedto eatthings sacrificed to idols?
Thereforeconcerningthe eatingof things sacrificed to idols,we knowthat there is nosuch thingas an idolin the world,and that there is noGodbut one.
But he who doubtsis condemnedifhe eats,because[his eating is] not from faith;and whateveris not from faithis sin.
Howevernot all menhave thisknowledge;but some,being accustomedto the idoluntilnow,eat[food] as ifit were sacrificed to an idol;and their consciencebeingweakis defiled.
I knowand am convincedin the LordJesusthat nothingis uncleanin itself;but to him who thinksanythingto be unclean,to him it is unclean.
"On garmentstakenas pledgesthey stretchout besideeveryaltar,And in the houseof their Godthey drinkthe wineof those who have been fined.
They wentout into the fieldand gathered[the grapes of] their vineyardsand trod[them], and helda festival;and they wentinto the houseof their god,and ateand drankand cursedAbimelech.
For they invitedthe peopleto the sacrificesof their gods,and the peopleateand boweddownto their gods.
Giveno offenseeitherto Jewsorto Greeksorto the churchof God;
but that we writeto them that they abstainfrom things contaminatedby idolsand from fornicationand from what is strangledand from blood.
But take carethat thislibertyof yoursdoes not somehowbecomea stumbling blockto the weak.
