Is the axeto boastitself overthe one who chopswith it? Is the sawto exaltitself overthe one who wieldsit? [That would be] like a clubwieldingthose who liftit, [Or] like a rodlifting[him who] is not wood.

Thereforein ChristJesusI havefound reason for boastingin things pertainingto God.
Nowwe knowthat whateverthe Lawsays,it speaksto thosewho are underthe Law,sothat everymouthmay be closedand allthe worldmay becomeaccountableto God;
Wherethenis boasting?It is excluded.By what kindof law?Of works?No,but by a lawof faith.
For ifAbrahamwas justifiedby works,he hassomething to boast about,but not beforeGod.
sothat, justas it is written,"LET HIM WHO BOASTS,BOASTIN THE LORD."
For whoregards you as superior?Whatdo you havethat you did not receive?And ifyou did receiveit, whydo you boastas ifyou had not receivedit?
Your boastingis not good.Do you not knowthat a littleleavenleavensthe wholelump[of dough]?
not as a resultof works,sothat noonemay boast.
