and Obadiahthe sonof Shemaiah,the sonof Galal,the sonof Jeduthun,and Berechiahthe sonof Asa,the sonof Elkanah,who livedin the villagesof the Netophathites.
So they and their sonshad chargeof the gatesof the houseof the LORD,[even] the houseof the tent,as guards.
Mattithiah,one of the Levites,whowas the firstbornof Shallumthe Korahite,had the responsibilityoverthe thingswhich were bakedin pans.
He stationedthe gatekeepersof the houseof the LORD,so that noone would enter[who was] in anywayunclean.
Underhis authority[were] Eden,Miniamin,Jeshua,Shemaiah,Amariahand Shecaniahin the citiesof the priests,to distributefaithfully[their portions] to their brothersby divisions,whether greator small,
The genealogicalenrollment[included] alltheir littlechildren,their wives,their sonsand their daughters,for the wholeassembly,for they consecratedthemselves faithfullyin holiness.
From the Levites,[some] divisionsin Judahbelonged to Benjamin.
On that daymenwere also appointedoverthe chambersfor the stores,the contributions,the firstfruitsand the tithes,to gatherinto them from the fieldsof the citiesthe portionsrequired by the lawfor the priestsand Levites;for Judahrejoicedoverthe priestsand Leviteswho served.
