For I will defend this city to save it, for My own sake and for My servant David's sake.

And to his son I will give one tribe, so that David My servant may have a light always before me in Jerusalem, the city which I have chosen for Me, to put My name there.

But for David's sake Jehovah his God gave him a lamp in Jerusalem, to set up his son after him, and to establish Jerusalem,

Jehovah of Hosts shall defend them; and they shall devour and trample the slingstones. And they shall drink and be boisterous, as through wine. And they shall be filled like a bowl, and like the corners of the altar.

who is the earnest of our inheritance, to the redemption of the purchased possession, to the praise of His glory.

to the praise of the glory of His grace, in which He has made us accepted in the One having been loved.

were it not the provocation of an enemy I feared, lest their enemies should misconstrue; lest they should say, Our hand is high and Jehovah has not done all this.
