If a king truthfully judges the poor, his throne will be established forever.

For I have said, “Mercy will be built up forever; Your faithfulness will be established in the heavens.”

It is an abomination to kings to commit wickedness, for the throne is established through righteousness.

Mercy and truth preserve the king, and his throne is sustained by love.

Take away the wicked from before the king, and his throne will be established in righteousness.

A ruler who lacks understanding is a great oppressor, but he who hates ill-gotten gain will prolong his days.

The king by justice establishes the land, but a man of bribes overthrows it.

learn to do good; seek justice, relieve the oppressed; judge the fatherless, plead for the widow.

but with righteousness he shall judge the poor, and reprove with fairness for the meek of the earth. He shall strike the earth with the rod of his mouth, and with the breath of his lips he shall slay the wicked.

He judged the cause of the poor and needy; then it was well with him. Is not this what it means to know Me? says the Lord.

They are fat, they are sleek. Indeed, they excel in deeds of wickedness. They do not judge the cause of the fatherless, so that they may prosper; and the right of the needy they do not defend.

Therefore, O king, let my counsel be acceptable to you, and break off your sins by righteousness and your iniquities by showing mercy to the poor, in case there may be a lengthening of your prosperity.”
