“But he would not and went and threw him in prison until he should pay the debt.

and say, ‘Thus says the king: Put this man in the prison, and feed him with reduced rations of bread and water until I return safely.’ ”

He who shuts his ears to the cry of the poor, he also will cry out, but will not be heard.

“So his fellow servant fell down at his feet and entreated him, saying, ‘Have patience with me, and I will pay you everything.’

So when his fellow servants saw what took place, they were very sorry and went and told their master all that had taken place.
