Her husband got up and went after her in order to speak tenderly to her and bring her back. His servant and two donkeys were with him. When he came to her father’s house, the girl’s father saw him and was happy to meet with him.

The anger of God was inflamed because he went, and the angel of the Lord stood in the way as an adversary against him. Now he was riding on his donkey, and his two servants were with him.

Then Joseph her husband, being a just man and not willing to make her a public example, had in mind to divorce her privately.

She said, “No one, Lord.” Jesus said to her, “Neither do I condemn you. Go and sin no more.”

Brothers, if a man is caught in any transgression, you who are spiritual should restore such a one in the spirit of meekness, watching yourselves, lest you also be tempted.

After a while, during the wheat harvest, Samson went to visit his wife, taking a young goat. He said, “I’m going in to my wife in her bedroom,” but her father would not let him go in.

Yet his concubine became angry with him and went away from him to her father’s house at Bethlehem in Judah. She was there for four months.

The woman came back at daybreak and fell down at the door of the man’s house where her master was, lying there until it was light.

His father-in-law, the girl’s father, prevailed upon him to stay with him for three days. So they ate and drank and spent the night there.
