Thus says the Lord, who gives the sun for a light by day and the ordinances of the moon and of the stars for a light by night, who stirs up the sea so that the waves roar, the Lord of Hosts is His name:

He divides the sea with His power, and by His understanding He strikes through the proud.

Do you know the ordinances of heaven? Can you set their dominion over the earth?

He rebuked the Red Sea, and it dried up; and He led them through the depths, as through the wilderness.

Forever, O  Lord, Your word is established in heaven.

They continue this day according to Your ordinances, for all things are Your servants.

who led them with His glorious arm by the right hand of Moses, dividing the water before them, to make Himself an everlasting name,

The portion of Jacob is not like them, for He is the maker of all things, and Israel is the rod of His inheritance. The Lord of Hosts is His name.

You show lovingkindness to thousands, and recompense the iniquity of the fathers into the bosom of their children after them, O great and mighty God. The Lord of Hosts is His name,

Thus says the Lord: If you can break My covenant of the day and My covenant of the night so that there should not be day and night in their season,

Thus says the Lord: If My covenant for day and night does not stand, and if I have not appointed the ordinances of heaven and earth,

then I would cast away the seed of Jacob and David My servant, so that I would not take any of his seed to be rulers over the seed of Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob. Yet I will restore their fortunes and have mercy on them.

As I live, says the King whose name is the Lord of Hosts, surely as Tabor is among the mountains, and as Carmel by the sea, so he shall come.

Do you not fear Me? says the Lord. Will you not tremble at My presence? For I have placed the sand for the boundary of the sea by a perpetual decree so that it cannot pass over it. And though the waves toss themselves, yet they cannot prevail; though they roar, yet they cannot pass over it.

Their Redeemer is strong; the Lord of Hosts is His name. He will thoroughly plead their case, that He may give rest to the land, but disquiet to the inhabitants of Babylon.

The portion of Jacob is not like them, for He is the former of all things, and Israel is the rod of His inheritance. The Lord of Hosts is His name.

I will ransom them from the power of Sheol. I will redeem them from Death. O Death, where are your plagues? O Sheol, where is your sting? Compassion is hidden from My eyes.

The eyes of the Lord God are upon the sinful kingdom, and I will destroy it from off the face of the earth, though I will not completely destroy the house of Jacob, says the Lord.

that you may be sons of your Father who is in heaven. For He makes His sun rise on the evil and on the good and sends rain on the just and on the unjust.

And beware, lest you lift up your eyes to heaven, and when you see the sun, and the moon, and the stars, even all the host of heaven, you are led astray and worship them, and serve them, that which the Lord your God has allotted to all nations under the whole heaven.
