Solomon had horses brought out of Egypt along with linen yarn. The king’s merchants received the linen yarn at a price.

The horses of Solomon were imported from Egypt and Kue, and the traders of the king would take them from Kue for a price.

They imported chariots from Egypt for six hundred shekels of silver and a horse for one hundred and fifty pieces. Likewise, through them, these were exported to all the kings of the Hittites and kings of the Arameans.

Solomon had four thousand stalls for horses and chariots and twelve thousand horses, and he put them in designated cities and with him in Jerusalem.

Woe to those who go down to Egypt for help, and rely on horses, and trust in chariots because they are many, and in horsemen because they are very strong, but they do not look to the Holy One of Israel nor seek the Lord!
