Therefore I set guards at the lowest positions behind the wall, in open places. I also stationed the people by families, with their swords, spears, and bows.

Truly, I say to you, whoever does not receive the kingdom of God as a little child will never enter it.”

Now I would not have you unaware, brothers, that I often intended to come to you (but was prevented until now), that I might have a harvest among you also, even as among the other Gentiles.

Your obedience has become known to all men. Therefore I am glad on your behalf. Yet I want you to be wise in what is good, and innocent in what is evil.

When I was a child, I spoke as a child, I understood as a child, and I thought as a child. But when I became a man, I put away childish things.

Yet in the church I had rather speak five words with my understanding, that by my voice I might teach others also, than ten thousand words in an unknown tongue.

Yet we speak wisdom among those who are mature, although not the wisdom of this age, nor of the rulers of this age, who are coming to nothing.

until we all come into the unity of the faith and of the knowledge of the Son of God, into a complete man, to the measure of the stature of the fullness of Christ,

And this I pray, that your love may abound yet more and more in knowledge and in all discernment,

Therefore let those of us who are mature be thus minded. And if you think differently in any way, God will reveal even this to you.

As newborn babies, desire the pure milk of the word, that by it you may grow,

But grow in the grace and knowledge of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. To Him be glory, both now and forever. Amen.
