The man was not created for the woman, but the woman for the man.
Then the Lord God said, “It is not good that the man should be alone. I will make him a helper suitable for him.”
The man gave names to all the livestock, to the birds of the sky, and to every beast of the field, but for Adam there was not found a helper suitable for him.
Then the rib which the Lord God had taken from man, He made into a woman, and He brought her to the man.
For this reason the woman ought to have authority over her head, because of the angels.
