And it shall be no more the confidence of the house of Israel, which bringeth their iniquity to remembrance, when they shall look after them: but they shall know that I am the Lord God.

And she said unto Eli´jah, What have I to do with thee, O thou man of God? art thou come unto me to call my sin to remembrance, and to slay my son?

Remember not the sins of my youth, nor my transgressions: according to thy mercy remember thou me for thy goodness' sake, O Lord.

O remember not against us former iniquities: let thy tender mercies speedily prevent us; for we are brought very low.

And they shall be afraid and ashamed of Ethiopia their expectation, and of Egypt their glory.

Be not wroth very sore, O Lord, neither remember iniquity for ever: behold, see, we beseech thee, we are all thy people.

Thus saith the Lord unto this people, Thus have they loved to wander, they have not refrained their feet, therefore the Lord doth not accept them; he will now remember their iniquity, and visit their sins.

As for us, our eyes as yet failed for our vain help: in our watching we have watched for a nation that could not save us.

And it shall be unto them as a false divination in their sight, to them that have sworn oaths: but he will call to remembrance the iniquity, that they may be taken.

And they shall dwell safely therein, and shall build houses, and plant vineyards; yea, they shall dwell with confidence, when I have executed judgments upon all those that despise them round about them; and they shall know that I am the Lord their God.

In that day will I cause the horn of the house of Israel to bud forth, and I will give thee the opening of the mouth in the midst of them; and they shall know that I am the Lord.

And the land of Egypt shall be desolate and waste; and they shall know that I am the Lord. Because he hath said, The river is mine, and I have made it,

E´phra-im feedeth on wind, and followeth after the east wind: he daily increaseth lies and desolation; and they do make a covenant with the Assyrians, and oil is carried into Egypt.

Asshur shall not save us; we will not ride upon horses: neither will we say any more to the work of our hands, Ye are our gods: for in thee the fatherless findeth mercy.

When E´phra-im saw his sickness, and Judah saw his wound, then went E´phra-im to the Assyrian, and sent to king Jareb: yet could he not heal you, nor cure you of your wound.

E´phra-im also is like a silly dove without heart: they call to Egypt, they go to Assyria.

They sacrifice flesh for the sacrifices of mine offerings, and eat it; but the Lord accepteth them not; now will he remember their iniquity, and visit their sins: they shall return to Egypt.

They have deeply corrupted themselves, as in the days of Gib´e-ah: therefore he will remember their iniquity, he will visit their sins.

then shall the man bring his wife unto the priest, and he shall bring her offering for her, the tenth part of an ephah of barley meal; he shall pour no oil upon it, nor put frankincense thereon; for it is an offering of jealousy, an offering of memorial, bringing iniquity to remembrance.

and their sins and iniquities will I remember no more.

But in those sacrifices there is a remembrance again made of sins every year.

And the great city was divided into three parts, and the cities of the nations fell: and great Babylon came in remembrance before God, to give unto her the cup of the wine of the fierceness of his wrath.
