Then Moses became angry and said to the Lord, “Don’t respect their offering. I have not taken one donkey from them or mistreated a single one of them.”

For I have kept the ways of the Lord and have not turned from my God to wickedness.

As he approached the camp and saw the calf and the dancing, Moses became enraged and threw the tablets out of his hands, smashing them at the base of the mountain.

The sacrifice of a wicked person is detestable — how much more so when he brings it with ulterior motives!

Moses was a very humble man, more so than any man on the face of the earth.

So Moses told Korah, “You and all your followers are to appear before the Lord tomorrow — you, they, and Aaron.

But I tell you, everyone who is angry with his brother will be subject to judgment. And whoever says to his brother, ‘Fool! ’ will be subject to the Sanhedrin. But whoever says, ‘You moron! ’ will be subject to hellfire.

After looking around at them with anger and sorrow at the hardness of their hearts, He told the man, “Stretch out your hand.” So he stretched it out, and his hand was restored.

But I have used none of these rights, and I have not written this to make it happen that way for me. For it would be better for me to die than for anyone to deprive me of my boast!

For this is our confidence: The testimony of our conscience is that we have conducted ourselves in the world, and especially toward you, with God-given sincerity and purity, not by fleshly wisdom but by God’s grace.

Accept us. We have wronged no one, corrupted no one, defrauded no one.

Be angry and do not sin. Don’t let the sun go down on your anger,

You are witnesses, and so is God, of how devoutly, righteously, and blamelessly we conducted ourselves with you believers.
