Paul said, “John baptized with a baptism of repentance, telling the people that they should believe in the One who would come after him, that is, in Jesus.”

As they were traveling down the road, they came to some water. The eunuch said, “Look, there’s water! What would keep me from being baptized? ”

Then he ordered the chariot to stop, and both Philip and the eunuch went down into the water, and he baptized him.

For we were all baptized by one Spirit into one body — whether Jews or Greeks, whether slaves or free — and we were all made to drink of one Spirit.

This grace was given to me — the least of all the saints — to proclaim to the Gentiles the incalculable riches of the Messiah,

He saved us — not by works of righteousness that we had done, but according to His mercy — through the washing of regeneration and renewal by the Holy Spirit.

In the same way, you younger men, be subject to the elders. And all of you clothe yourselves with humility toward one another, because God resists the proud but gives grace to the humble.
