In addition, David brought the men who were with him, each one with his household, and they settled in the towns near Hebron.

The numbers of the armed troops who came to David at Hebron to turn Saul’s kingdom over to him, according to the Lord’s word, were as follows:

In addition, every man who was desperate, in debt, or discontented rallied around him, and he became their leader. About 400 men were with him.
